CHRISTMAS FOOD
DRIVE PARTY- Saturday November 28th, 2009
Our annual dance to collect
funds for the Brantford food bank promises to be a memorable event.
With such generous students, the goal is to fill up at least one large
barrel to help with the Christmas Baskets program in our community.
Admission is free for everyone that brings non-perishable food items. Food
and refreshments will be provided by Art in Motion as a thank you and to
share good tidings with our students. You make AIM a great place to
celebrate friendships! There will also be dance demonstrations
by the Ladies Latin class and the Youth class. Please let us know
you're coming so we can prepare enough food. The lesson will be the
Bolero at 8pm.
MOVIE, TV
AND MUSICAL THEME PARTY
Everyone had a great time on
Saturday Oct 24th. We had flapper girls, Sonny and Cher, 80's fans and even
Barbie! Thank you to Ninette, Joan & Jerry and Tammy, Kathryn,
Francis, Chris & Cheryl for their fabulous dance presentations that evening.
BONUS PRACTICE NIGHT
Our first Friday night
practice was a great success, and we plan to continue them once a month. The
date for the next Friday practice is November 6th at 9:00 pm. Fees are $5
per person or couple for non members. Come out and practice the new moves
you learned during the week!
SWING OUT TO VICTORY
We have the pleasure of being invited
back to the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum, to enjoy a dance as
part of a fun filled night. This is a charitable event to raise funds for
the United Way. It's a great evening with live music by the Toronto
All Star Band all in the Big Band Era. You can get more information at
www.warplane.com
Tickets are available through the museum
905-679-4183 ext 220 from Kathy Ryma.
(When ordering tickets specify that you're with Art in Motion)
GUEST NIGHTS- Be Our
Guest!
Our Ladies Latin and Belly
Dance classes will be hosting a guest night! This is an opportunity to try a
class and see what it's about. Invite your girlfriends, co- workers, moms
and sisters for a free trial dance class. Why not share the fun with
others? More details to come. Ask at reception for details.
STEDMAN HOSPICE -
MAYOR'S GALA
Thank you for the
opportunity to perform at
the Mayor's Gala at the Brantford Golf and Country Club on Saturday Oct
24th, to help raise funds and awareness for the Stedman Hospice. Mayor Mike
Hancock enjoyed the dance lesson along with other participates; it was a
great success for such a valuable cause.
NEW CLASSES
Even though we added TWO
MORE beginner couples classes, the new sessions are filled already. The next
session will begin in January, and you can pre-register online. Details are available
on the Class List/Register page and at the studio.
ZUMBA REGISTRATION
Due to the overwhelming
popularity of our Zumba classes, it has become impractical for us to allow
unregistered drop ins to the class; you can still attend, but we need to
know in advance how many will be participating. Our goal is to keep class
sizes small, in order for you to learn better, and to enjoy it more. In the
future more ZUMBA classes will be added to meet the demand!
WE WILL BE
LIMITING REGISTRATIONS SO PLEASE REGISTER AS SOON AS POSSIBLE FOR THE NEXT
SESSION - THIS INCLUDES CLUB MEMBERS
